You can call him Spike, Spikey, Spikers, Sir-Spikes-A-Lot....really anything you want...he doesn't mind at all. This is our tortoise. He is our family pet. No really...he is a pet. The kids are learning responsibilities, such as:- feeding Spike
- giving Spikers fresh water
- picking Spikey his favorite yellow flowers for snack time
- playing in a gentle fashion with Mr. Spike
This turtle has been a great project for the kids. I love watching them take care of their little guy! Maybe one day, if the kids beg really hard, and act really sweet they will get a pet upgrade to a dog :)
